Revisiting the penalty debacle

That we'd all just love to forget about the penalty shoot out versus Arsenal is a given, but an interview with Zeman today caught my interest. He serves up the very opposite of comfort food, so I hope you filled up before coming here. On everyone's favorite Mirko, who played under Zeman in Lecce:

It's true that Vucinic is a great talent, he scored nineteen goals in twenty five games for me. But he's also a player that isn't always able to give all that he can. The penalty? These things happens to him, I remember a missed penalty against Udinese with Di Michele in goal (Di Michele is a Roman attacker, only insignificantly taller than a mouse standing on all four legs Giovinco). There are certain difficulties he can't seem to overcome.

Yay.
